Stellaris™ FISH Probes: Accurate Target mRNA Quantification

Stellaris FISH Probes* are used for detection of single molecules of messenger RNA by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). This simplified FISH technology is much improved over traditional methods and offers exquisite sensitivity to literally count individual molecules of mRNA using a conventional fluorescence microscope. A set of Stellaris FISH probes comprises 48 oligonucleotide probes, each labeled with a single fluorophore.  The probes bind in series to targeted transcripts to produce diffraction-limited spots which evoke stars on a moonless night.  Stellaris FISH probes have significant advantages:
