Biosearch Technologies Sponsors qPCR Symposium USA
Jerry Ruth Presents Synthetic Templates
Jerry Ruth, Ph.D, Director of R&D at Biosearch Technologies, will present his team's work on synthetic templates. Conventional synthesis of positive controls (plasmids, linear templates, etc) often exhibits minor but significant cross contamination, which results in measureable signals for "no target" controls. The novel technology being developed at Biosearch uses specific synthetic oligonucleotide fragments which are designed to remain un-amplified even if present in a qPCR reaction in large amounts. The design, synthesis, results, and application of these synthetic templates will be presented in detail.
