FAQ

How do I know which loading to choose for immunochemical conjugates?

In reference to immunochemicals, the word 'loading' refers to the conjugation ratio which is the average number of hapten groups conjugated to a single protein. It is generally accepted that immunization with a lower density hapten-carrier, coupled with low immunogen doses, will preferentially trigger high affinity antibodies in a lower immune response. In contrast, immunization with a high density-hapten carrier, coupled with high immunogen doses, may elicit a higher immune response as low affinity antibodies are also triggered.
