FAQ

Can we use the KASP panel assays for a SeqSNP service?

One of the requirements for a SeqSNP service is the genome location (not necessarily the make-up) of each SNP to be interrogated. Unfortunately, the KASP panel assays do not have this location information in their panel database, as this is not required for KASP assay design/ordering but we are in the process of populating these databases with SNP location information. This means that for some panels (e.g. the Wheat Bristol 960 core panel set), SNP location information is available, so this panel can be used for SeqSNP. Please contact technical and applications support for further information regarding your organism and which panel you are interested in, as we will be able to provide the most up-to-date information on the panel details.
