Designed to detect POU5F1 / POU5F2 transcripts in specimens using fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). Design Criteria: Product was designed against POU class 5 homeobox 1 / POU class 5 homeobox 1B POU5F1 / POU5F2 a.k.a. OCT3; OCT4; OTF3; OTF4; OTF-3; Oct-3; Oct-4 / OTF3C; OTF3P1; OCT4PG1; OCT4-PG1; POU5F1P1; POU5F1P4; POU5FLC8; POU5FLC20 (NCBI gene ID:5460 / 5462) and nucleotides 479-1419 of NM_002701.5 . This is an inclusive probe set design to detect the following POU5F1 variants: NM_002701.5, NM_203289.5, NM_001173531.2, NM_001285986.1, NM_001285987.1, AND POU5F1B mRNA: NM_001159542.1. The probe set has not been tested for potential cross-hybridization to RNA(s) of paralogous and orthologous gene(s) in the same or other species.

Product usage:

    Please note that reconstituted probe mix should be subjected to a minimum number of freeze-thaw cycles. For daily and short-term use, the mix can be stored at +2 to +8 °C in the dark for up to a month. For long-term use: We recommend freezing reconstituted probes in the dark at -15 to -30 °C for storage lasting longer than a month.
