Is the quality and size of DNA extracted with the sbeadex blood kit high enough to generate DNA-libraries for next generation sequencing (NGS)?

DNA extracted with sbeadex has been used to construct NGS libraries. The DNA is highly purified, due to:

  • A 2-step binding mechanisms for removing impurities
  • No use of organic solvents or chaotrophic salts in the final step before elution

It is therefore highly suitable for NGS.
