Selecting the appropriate BHQ labelled probes for your application provides superior quenching, enhanced specificity and optimal signal-to-noise ratios. These attributes make BHQ dyes the quencher of choice for qualitative and quantitative PCR (qPCR) experiments, including single and multiplex gene expression, copy number variation (CNV), single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) genotyping and presence/absence testing.
GMP-grade oligos are specifically synthesised for in vitro diagnostics (IVD) and molecular diagnostic applications. We meet your regulatory needs from multiple international manufacturing sites, which are ISO 9001:2016 (RUO) and ISO 13485:2016 (CE IVD) certified and 21CFR Parts 820 and 864 compliant, as applicable. Each batch is shipped with a certificate of analysis (CoA), certificate of origin (COO), and more for full QA/QC traceability.
Dual-labeled BHQ Probes
Dual-labeled BHQ Probes are traditional, linear, FRET probes used on oligos between 20 and 30 bases with a fluorophore and quencher covalently attached to the 5′ and 3′ ends respectively. Choose from a broad spectrum of both proprietary and standard fluorophores and their corresponding Black Hole Quencher dye to obtain high-quality qPCR data.
The BHQplus Probe is a compact probe for qPCR, modified with a duplex-stabilising technology and terminated with BHQ dye. The BHQplus Probe permits the design of shorter oligonucleotides (15 to 25 bases in length) for enhanced specificity and improved mismatch discrimination with modified C and T nucleotides. This probe is useful for detecting more difficult target sequences and genotyping SNPs.
BHQnova Probes offer improved quenching efficiency compared to traditional end-labelled probes and are particularly valuable for longer probe designs (>25 bases in length), as needed for difficult qPCR applications. With the power of both an internal nova quencher and a 3′ BHQ quencher, these longer probes substantially reduce background interference and increase the signal-to-noise ratio.
