Low Endoxin Cells
Competent cells for transformation
Endura High-Yield Electrocompetent Cells are a genetically engineered E. coli strain optimized for high-performance plasmid DNA production in both research and biopharmaceutical development. Targeted genetic modifications were introduced to enhance plasmid stability, increase plasmid yield, and ensure high quality plasmid output at scale. These cells support efficient and scalable generation of stable and complex pDNA, making them well suited for synthetic biology applications, vaccine research and development, and gene and cell therapy workflows.
Select Grade cells are cultured using animal origin–free growth and recovery systems, helping:
Reduce risk of unwanted contaminants
Align with pDNA manufacturing needs
Higher Plasmid Yield vs Traditional Endura cells
Endura™ High‑Yield Electrocompetent Cells deliver substantially higher plasmid yields than traditional Endura cells and comparable commercial electrocompetent strains.
Figure 1. Superior plasmid yield with Endura High-Yield Electrocompetent Cells.
All electrocompetent cells were transformed with the same ~3 kb plasmid. Single colonies were cultured in 10 mL LB in individual 250 mL flasks. Plasmid DNA was extracted from 1 mL culture using standard procedures. Note: Increased plasmid yield will result when cultures are grown in well aerated culture conditions (for example, 10 mL culture in 250 mL flask vs. 96-well format).
Stable Propagation of Repetitive Sequences
Endura™ High‑Yield Cells reliably maintain plasmids containing multiple direct repeats and complex repeat structures.

Figure 2. Stable Replication of Plasmids with multiple repeats in Endura™ High-Yield Cells. A plasmid with a) two 30 bp repeats separated by a short sequence and b) 6 consecutive 30 bp repeats were transformed into Endura™ High-Yield Electrocompetent Cells.
Integrity of Lentiviral-like Constructs
Endura™ High‑Yield Electrocompetent Cells reliably maintain plasmids with long terminal repeats (LTRs) with minimal concatemer formation.
Figure 3. Endura™ High-Yield Cells Maintain Integrity of Lenti-like Plasmids
A plasmid containing Lenti-viral–like sequences with 181 bp long terminal direct repeats was transformed into Endura™ High-Yield Electrocompetent Cells. All 10 tested colonies retained the correct plasmid size with minimal concatemer formation.
